Terms and Conditions

Booking, Cancellation & Refunds

All class bookings are made through The Fitness Maison website.

 

Single class bookings can be made at any time until the class start time. However, if there are fewer than 3 students booked onto a class 3 hours ahead of the start time, bookings may close, and the class may be cancelled. In this case, affected students will be contacted through a phone call, social media, or other messaging platforms. Students affected by the cancellation will have the opportunity to rebook to a different class.

 

Payment is required at the time of booking. Class bookings are not confirmed until full payment has been received. Therefore, no student will be allowed to participate in any class until full payment has been received. Cancelled classes are non-refundable. However, class bookings can be transferred to an alternative class of equal or lesser value provided the transfer is done at least 24 hours before the original class start time.

Membership Cancellations

Cancellation can be initiated at any time through the TFM website. Please be aware that when you initially purchase a gym membership, a 24-hour refund window is available. Refunds will not be offered beyond this initial 24-hour period.

To cancel your membership and your associated direct debit immediately, please use our website; log into your account and under subscriptions press cancel. . In the event that you are unable to cancel online, you may contact us at thefitnessmaison@gmail.com.

 

Please allow up to 5 working days for us to respond to your email, so plan accordingly. Additionally, you have the option to cancel your direct debit with your bank; please be aware that this can take up to 5 working days for the direct debit cancellation to take effect. 

 

To prevent any unintended deductions, please ensure your membership is canceled before the scheduled direct debit date.

Lateness

Lateness can affect the safety of the participants. Therefore, participants must be present for the warm-up component of the class. If a participant misses any part of the warm-up, including being late, they will not be allowed to participate in the class and will forfeit any payment made without the right to a refund. Participants are advised to allow plenty of time for travelling to the studio and parking to avoid any disappointment.

 

Health & Safety

Participants are entirely responsible for ensuring that their clothing and footwear are of suitable quality and in a safe condition that is not likely to cause injury to themselves or others. TFM strongly recommends arriving in the clothing worn for the class, as there are limited changing facilities on-site. If changing is necessary, participants should factor this into their arrival time.

 

TFM classes are physically strenuous and are aimed at participants who are of general good health with no significant medical problems or injuries. If a participant suffers from any medical problem or injury (including, but not limited to, joint problems, back/neck pain, muscular/skeletal problems, heart or lung problems, deep-vein thrombosis, fainting/dizziness), they must seek advice from a medical professional before attending and inform the instructor before beginning any part of the class, including the warm-up. If, at any point during the class, a participant sustains an injury, feels unwell, or is otherwise unable to continue, they must stop immediately and inform the instructor.

 

TFM classes are not suitable for people who are pregnant or who have given birth vaginally within the last 3 months or via C-section in the last 6 months.

 

Age Limit

Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in TFM classes. TFM reserves the right to request proof of age if necessary.

 

Open Pole Practice

Open Pole Practices are subject to availability and must be booked in advance via BookWhen. Payment is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

 

Cancellation of an Open Pole Practice booking can be made up to 24 hours before the start time, after which point the booking is non-refundable.

 

TFM reserves the right to refuse entry to any student who arrives at the Open Pole Practice without having attended a pole class within the previous 2 weeks.

 

TFM may occasionally need to cancel an Open Pole Practice session. In such cases, students will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a full refund or an offer of an alternative session.

 

 

No instruction or spotting is available from TFM instructors during this session. Instructors are available in the event of an accident or emergency only. As such, attendees must only practice low-risk moves and tricks which they are confident in executing safely by themselves.

 

By participating in an Open Pole Practice you acknowledge that there are increased risks involved when training without professional instruction and spotting. You agree to be responsible for any and all injuries, accidents or other misfortune that may occur during the session and will not hold TFM or any of its instructors responsible for the above.

The following rules apply to all attendees of Open Studio Practices:

– Warm up fully before beginning your pole practice.

– Only practice tricks or movement that you are confident in executing safely.

– Only practice tricks or movement that has been taught by a TFM instructors.

– Do not attempt to spot another student unless you have been appropriately trained to do so.

– Make use of safety mats where needed.

– Do not attend with any person who has not also booked a space for the practice session (no friends, children, partners, etc. are permitted to observe or take part in the practice).

– Please be considerate of other students, especially when sharing poles, playing music or filming yourself.

 

Photography and Filming

When filming or photographing yourself during a class, you must be considerate of other students.

Do not film or photograph other students without their express consent.

 

If another student is captured in your video or photograph by accident, you should inform them and request permission before sharing this image anywhere, including on your personal social media.

 

In group or 1-2-1 classes, the instructor may video or photograph the class at various times. The class will be informed of this before filming or photography starts. If you do not wish to appear in the photos or videos (which may be shared on our website and/or social media and/or other marketing materials) please inform the instructor.

 

Violation of the Terms & Conditions

Any person who does not adhere to the above Terms & Conditions or who otherwise behaves in a way which is inappropriate or unsafe may be asked to leave their class and may be prevented from attending future TFM classes. No refund shall be provided in these instances. This decision is made entirely at the discretion of TFM instructors and/or the Studio Director.

 

Disclaimer

By booking your place on a TFM class or open pole practice, you confirm the following:

I fully understand and agree to all of the statements outlined in the Terms & Conditions.

I do not suffer from any health condition or injury that may result in injury or damage to myself or others. If I do suffer from any other health condition or injury I will inform the instructor.

I am not pregnant nor have I had a baby within the time frames set out above.

I am participating entirely of my own will and at my own risk and will not hold TFM or its instructors responsible for any injury, loss or damage that may occur.

I am over the age of 16.
